Intro
Hello! My name is Dylan Chbeir, I am currently a senior at UTSA studying Business Administration. With my degree I hope to enter the coffee industry to continue a family tradition that spans 4 generations going as far back as my great-grandfather Farid and his business in Lebanon. Outside of coffee my hobbies include travel and ultimate frisbee.
Personal Vision
With my degree and knowledge I've accumulated over the ocurse of a decade I hope to find myself in my dream career: coffee trading. Companies such as Olam, List + Beisler, and Intercontinental Coffee Trading. This is a career that can open many doors around the world and from a position in these companies I seek to create a positive difference for farmers around the world and for the consumers.
Personal Vision
Currently my network has contact with traders within List+Beiler as well as a longterm family business partner we've worked with since my grandfather immigrated to Texas in the 70's. In order to become a more appealing prospect to these companies I'm contacting several roasters around the US to find wholesale positions to distribute their product.
Entrepreneurial Projects
My vision for coffee trading is creating a network that farmers and traders can utilize to create better bonds with local and national governments in order to better subsidize coffee growing and encourage safe/equitable business practices
