Intro
Hello everyone! I am Humbero, originally from Houston, TX. I grew up in hispanic communities leading to me learning a lot more about diversity and creativity. I would eventually attend Lone Star College - University Park, where I would begin to learn a lot more about what it takes to advance in the world. Now, I am a student at the Alvarez College of Business at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I am also in the Business Honors program.
Personal Vision
After obtaining my Accounting: Bachelor in Business Administration degree, I would like to work towards a Master’s Degree in Accounting. Throughout this process, I would like to learn more about accounting so that I would eventually have the ability to sit for the CPA exam. As a CPA, I would like to establish great connections with the community while growing my understanding of the world. I would like to eventually give back to the community in education, though I would like to wait a long time before entering the field.
Goals
I would like to better develop my communication skills, as being short and blunt isn’t always the best when it comes to developing relationships in a career. However, my current main and short-term goal is to graduate from the Honors Business program in good standing. This involves paying attention to key details that may not be apparent to everyone.
