Intro
Hello, my name is Maribel. I am a business senior majoring in accounting at Texas A&M-San Antonio. I prefer starting the day around 10:00am, but it's not always possible, making weekends the highlight of my week. During personal development, I enjoy cooking traditional and non-traditional Mexican food and spending time with family and friends. I am interested in the restaurant industry. I have always enjoyed the food cooked by family members and the different methods/adjustments made to the food depending on where you live. I want to make taste buds dance and bring comfort through food.
Personal Vision
In two months, I will graduate with my bachelor's in Accounting and plan on pursuing my master's in an 11-month program in accounting or computer information systems. I am currently taking a course in accounting information systems, which has opened up a new career path within the industry I did not know existed. In 2-3 years, I will prepare for and take the CPA exam, but I would like to be able to make my expertise in accounting information systems. In 5-6 years, I picture myself working as a CPA and owning a Mexican restaurant.
