Intro
My name is Ava and I am a senior acccounting student at UTSA. I applied for the masters accounting program at UTSA and I hope to become a licensed CPA. I applied to UTSA because of their accounting program and because it was not too far away from my family. One of my goals is to start my own business, hopefully as a CPA if everything goes according to plan.
Personal Vision
Currently, my goal is to get in the CPA program and eventually become a licensed professional. From there, I would work under a CPA for 2 or more years to get licensed and gain experience in a variety of areas. If all goes well, I either hope to open my own CPA practice or another small business, such as a restaurant or fast food franchise.
Personal Vision
My goal is to get into the CPA program and get experience with a CPA. I have already applied for the program and my next step is to apply for internships with CPA firms. I plan to join the Accounting society on campus this semester and network with accounting professionals at school events, through the societies, and obtain an internship in a related accounting field.
Entrepreneurial Projects
During the pandemic, I created alot of art pieces and got into making jewelry. One of my projects this semester and next semester is to start selling again and create etsy pages, instagram pages, and utilize other platforms to sell. Due to moving back to San Antonio and interning over the summer, I put that on hold. However, my goal by this semester is to get organized and start my projects again.
