Intro

Hey everyone! I'm Meryl. I was born and raised in San Antonio until I was 11, then made a big move to the town of Meridian, TX with a population 1,600! That shift from city life to small-town living shaped who I am. With fewer people and more opportunities to get involved, I threw myself into school activities and community events, which helped me grow into someone who values connection, service, and leadership. While I only speak English, I’ve grown up surrounded by Spanish and Hispanic culture, which has definitely influenced the way I see the world.

Personal Vision

In 5 years, I see myself doing meaningful work that aligns with my values, specifically where I can see the positive impact it brings. I want to grow personally and professionally while staying true to who I am. I’m grounded in respect, hard work, and family, but I thrive on creativity and innovation. My vision is to always improve, stay curious, and build a future where my work truly makes a difference.

Goals

My network can help me achieve my vision by connecting me with the right people and opening doors to opportunities I wouldn’t find on my own. In the short run, I’m focused on exploring different areas of business for example, management, marketing, HR, sales, and creative direction. I want to discover what I’m truly passionate about. My next step is to stay curious, ask questions, and actively follow up on any leads that could land me my first internship or real-world experience.

Entrepreneurial Projects

My dream is to open a nationwide third space chain that features women-owned, ethical, high-quality products. For me It’s about creating a full experience not just selling a product. I envision a charming, immersive setting with boutiques, cafés, and event spaces that feel whimsical yet grounded in community. I’m currently focused on developing the skills and clarity needed to turn this vision into a functional, launchable concept.

Skills

I’ve developed leadership and management skills through holding positions in student organizations, where I led teams and organized events. Balancing a job, school, and extracurriculars while maintaining a 3.9 GPA has strengthened my time management. I use personalized strategies, like a tailored calendar, to stay organized and communicate effectively. I also have strong pattern recognition and critical thinking skills, which help me connect ideas, analyze situations, and make smart, strategic decisions.
