About the Event
Entrepeneurs often have "visions" that they fail to incorporate into their operations. Operating and administering a profitable business is facilitated by plans, processes, and systems. The profitability and longevity of a business at least partially relies on the awareness and responsiveness of the business leaders.
Businesses of all shapes and sizes should establish business processes and systems that purposefully capture performance feedback, prompt leadership awareness, and help trigger appropriate responses.
Key Concepts that can be adapted and applied locally:
- PURPOSEFULLY AND SYSTEMATICALLY GATHER BUSINESS OPERATION AND PERFORMANCE FEEDBACK
- PURPOSEFULLY STRIVE FOR BUSINESS OPERATION AND PERFORMANCE AWARENESS
- PURPOSEFULLY AND THOUGHTFULLY RESPOND TO BUSINESS FEEDBACK AND AWARENESS
The Committee on Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) of the Treadway Commission helped establish a generally accepted Internal Control Framework that internal auditors often reference. This presentation is modeled off portions of that framework. It calls for the establishment of certain management controls (processes), and the creation, gathering, and use of performance information (feedback) to make adjustments to those systems for greater efficiency/effectiveness (profitability).
Rene Valadez (Reflection Executive Advisors LLC) retired from the State of Texas Internal where he was Audit Director for 2 major state agencies and a trainer. He is also a veteran and a multi-state, multi-country, real estate investor and co-administrator of a wellness business.
