At The Entrepreneurial World, we believe that true economic development starts with people, partnerships, and purpose.
Last week, we had the incredible opportunity to put that belief into action by partnering with The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) and the Carlos Alvarez College of Business to showcase what San Antonio has to offer its college, university, and trade school students.
We are grateful to UTSA for trusting us to lead this initiative—an effort designed to create career pathways, foster experiential learning, and connect students with anchor institutions and industry leaders who are actively shaping the economic landscape of our city.
This program wasn’t just about exposure—it was about building long-term value. It focused on core economic development pillars including:
Talent Development: Empowering students to see themselves as future leaders within the regional economy.
Workforce Readiness: Bridging the gap between education and employment by connecting students with real-world industries.
Public-Private Collaboration: Bringing together city agencies, private businesses, and educational institutions to drive community-centered growth.
Place-Based Development: Highlighting the unique assets and cultural identity of San Antonio’s core districts to attract and retain talent.
Inclusive Economic Participation: Ensuring that opportunities for professional and entrepreneurial growth are accessible to diverse populations across our city.
We thank our community partners for bringing these pillars to life:
VIA Metropolitan Transit – Richard Martinez and Andrew Guajardo
The Local – Elizabeth Mancha and Kevin Mancha
The Box Street Social – Caroline Garcia, Edward Garcia, and Daniel Treviño
Hemisfair – Meredith Balzen
CPS Energy – Rudy D. Garza, Unity Puente, and David Saenz
Centro San Antonio – Trish DeBerry, Priscilla Marxkors Lopez, and Edward Aaron Romero, M.A.
SA Creatives – Gabriel Garcia
H-E-B – Crystal Royal and Rigoberto Gonzalez
TEKsystems – Jake Laubach
These organizations are not only shaping the city’s current landscape—they are investing in its future by building a resilient, skilled, and inclusive workforce.
A special thank you goes to our CEO, Washington Navarro, whose leadership continues to drive innovative programs that connect students to the entrepreneurial and economic engines of San Antonio.
We look forward to continuing this mission—creating ecosystems of opportunity where education, innovation, and entrepreneurship intersect for lasting community impact.
